Yoda suffered multiple injuries. Upon arrival, his initial injuries were a fractured arm, fractured ribs, and a cervical fractures. He was also in shock and not moving. He was a placed in an oxygen tank to help with his O2 levels because of the shock and fractured ribs. We were told internal injuries sometimes aren’t apparent until 24-48 hours after the attack. Our ultimate goal was to get him stable enough to do surgery to fix his arm.
Yoda’s Attack
Yoda was attacked March 8, 2024. We rushed him to Linwood Pet Hospital. They were absolutely nothing short of amazing. We are thankful for the care and compassion they showed my family.
Unfortunately Yoda’s internal injuries became apparent, his prognosis wasn’t good. He was in pain even while on narcotic pain medications and sometimes sedation. He was unable to be stabilized. Yoda’s time on earth had come to an end. He passed a little more than 24 hours after his attack. The owners of the dog who has attacked Yoda has not reached out to us. We were left without our dog and a huge hospital bill. Neither animal control or the owners of the dog seem remorseful.
